All award selections will be based exclusively on a ranked combination of need and merit. Bowl-a-ThonJoin us for Bowling for Scholars!A fundraiser for Dollars for Scholars, a program of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Saturday February 25, 2012 Cloverleaf Family Bowl What We Need: 12 teams of 5 bowlers each to enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie and fun bowling for a good cause — raising funds for post-secondary scholarships for students in Fremont and neighboring communities. Create a team from your company, service club or friends and join the fun! How It Works: Each bowler collects pledges in advance of the Bowl-a-Thon on Feb. 25. A pledge can be a flat pledge or a "per pin" pledge that will vary based on how well you bowl. To play, each bowler must raise a minimum of $100 so that each team will raise a minimum of $500. For example, you could get 10 friends or co-workers to pledge $10 each and you've reached your individual goal! It's EASY! Of course, the more raised, the more students we can help achieve their goal of a higher education. We provide the pledge form and you collect the dollars after the Bowl-a-Thon based on your pledges. Each team will play two games. How to Start: Contact Nina Moore at (510) 795-2244 or nmoore@fremontbusiness.com to:
Prize will be awarded for most money raised by a team! Bowling is free as long as long as individual pledge goal of $100 is met. Donations are tax-deductible. Goal The goal of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and Dollars For Scholars (tm) is to help students who plan to go on to postsecondary education, and who satisfy other criteria developed by Scholarship America™, formerly Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of America (CSFA).
