Ambassador Highlight – Betul Buyukkaya
Fremont Chamber Ambassadors are Chamber members who volunteer to help out at Chamber events, like ribbon cuttings, mixers, public policy forums, business expos, etc. You can see ambassadors at these events holding the ribbon at the ribbon cutting and getting signatures from the crowd. Ambassadors will also greet you and check you in at our public policy forums, candidate debates, & mixers. They will also wrangle the mic for the question & answer section of the State of the City Address. They help answer vendor questions during events. The Fremont Chamber depends on the Ambassadors in our mission to promote and support a positive business environment. We would like to feature one of our most active ambassadors, Betul Buyukkaya.

When did you become an Ambassador?
I became an Ambassador 2 years ago (2024)
What were your initial thoughts about what Ambassadors do?
I started going to the Ribbon Cutting events for the new businesses joining the Chamber, that's when I noticed the Ambassadors. It is such a nice way of sharing the excitement of a new member and supporting the community on these events that I didn't want to miss them.
Why did you become an Ambassador?
The Ambassador position is a perfect way to support the Chamber for all that they do for our business community and help them represent and gain more members to be able to develop a better business environment for our city
What's your favorite thing about being an Ambassador?
I love attending and volunteering at the networking opportunities they provide with different events throughout the year to all the businesses under their umbrella. I met with business owners that also became friends and advocates for my business as well.
What would you say to a member who is interested in becoming an Ambassador?
Definitely do it! This is a great opportunity to support the hard work that Chamber puts out.
