Estate & Trust Planning - Meet James J. Phillips, Probate and Estate Planning Attorney serving Alameda County, who will speak on estate planning, trusts, probate, and related tax matters.
James Phillips is a Certified Specialist in estate planning, probate, and trust law with over 30 years of experience; with a Juris Doctor from Hastings College and a “highest
rating of professional excellence” for legal ability and ethical standards by Martindale-Hubbell. He is included annually in the Northern California Super Lawyers since its inception.
Estate planning is a process! If your estate is small, you may simply focus on who will receive your assets after your death, and who should manage your estate, pay your last debts and handle the distribution of your assets. If your estate is large, there are various ways of preserving your assets for your beneficiaries and reducing or postponing the amount of estate tax. A trust is a legal document which holds your assets for the benefit of those left behind and even for yourself in case of incapacity.
This free seminar is sponsored by the Alameda County Library and the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. No reservations are required.
