The Governmental Affairs Committee is the advocacy arm of the Chamber. The Government Affairs Committee operates effectively by tracking legislative and regulatory activities at the local, state and federal levels. The Committee analyzes a broad spectrum of issues, with an emphasis on transportation, education, housing, and other issues affecting the business climate, and then makes recommendations to the Board for actions.
Additionally, the Government Affairs Committee maintains a continuing dialogue with legislators and key staff at all levels of government-federal, state, county and city to effectively communicate the needs and challenges of the business community.
