Call for swag bag items for the Trick or Treat Event
Attention Fremont Chamber members:
Do you want your gear to be part of the swag bags that the City of Fremont gives out to attendees at the October 23, 2026 Trick or Treat event at Fremont Street Eats? The Halloween event at Fremont Street Eats is the most well attended Fremont Street Eats of the season.
The City of Fremont Reg-e-Rec staff are asking for swag bag donations from Fremont Chamber of Commerce members to give to the kids who attend the Trick or Treat event. The swag bags will be distributed to children aged 2-10 who register for the Trick or Treat portion of the event. This is a great opportunity to promote your business by getting your branded items into the hands of families that will likely use or see them on a daily basis.
They are looking for 930 of the same item: branded tchotchkes, little notepads, goodies, coupons, etc. Please note that the bags will be given to kids, not adults, so beer bottle openers or CBD samples are probably not appropriate. Banned items: food of any kind, noisemakers, glitter, bubbles, sidewalk chalk. Also, permanent stickers are not allowed because they invariably end up on the building, the lamp posts or the benches. Removable vinyl clings are okay.
DO NOT give a mixture of items! That is, do not give 400 pens, 200 chip clips, 200 business cards. This will greatly help the staffers who stuff the bags.
Swag bag items can be dropped off at the Recreation Registration Desk, 3300 Capitol Ave. Building B, Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm now through Wednesday, October 7. Items can be labelled 'Trick or Treat Event'. This is limited to Fremont Chamber members. BE PREPARED TO SHOW PROOF OF CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP
TIPS:
Coupon tips: if your swag bag donation are coupons, make sure they fit into a tote bag. Print them onto thicker card stock. Do not print out a full-sized flyer on thin copy paper - those are the first thing that gets tossed into the recycle bin. Give your coupon a call to action and a means for you to track how they got the item. e.g.: 'bring this coupon to the ## studio/cafe for a free ## with purchase of a ##. Expires ##, 2026. Code FSEHALLOWEEN.'
Tchotchkes: Branded items are the best thing to give, if you have enough. Do you have pens/erasers/magnets with your business name and logo on them? Those are good swag bag items.
Do you have bulky larger items, like a water bottle? Ask first! This won’t work if five different chamber members all donate branded water bottles. The bags are not that big (see attached picture).
