Fremont Street Eats

RULES: You must agree to these rules to participate.

• You must be a Fremont Chamber member in good standing at the time you register as well as when you will be participating.
• Your booth must be fully set up by 4:45 pm and you must stay the entire time until after the raffle drawing.
• Spaces are 10 feet by 10 feet.
• The Fremont Chamber does not provide booths, canopies, tables, chairs. We do provide the audience.
• Fremont Chamber staff will be on site by 3:45 pm to direct you to the area.
• Spaces are chosen by members on a first come, first served basis.
• Tear down immediately follows the 8:00 pm drawing. You must be completely off site by 10pm.
• Leaving early or arriving after 5:00 pm will automatically forfeit you from participating in future Fremont Street Eats.
• The location is at the Fremont Downtown Event Center (DTEC): 3500 Capitol Avenue Fremont, CA 94538.
• There is plenty of parking in the DTEC parking lot. Overflow parking is on Capitol Avenue, State Street and Liberty Street. NO PARKING signs are clearly posted.
• You may not drive your vehicle into the barricaded area for set up or tear down.
• Do not block food truck parking spaces when setting up.
• During Fremont Street Eats, the Fremont Chamber collects raffle entry slips from attendees. From these entry slips, you draw the winner for your prize. You must supply a prize. You may only draw one raffle ticket – no multiple prize winners.
• Raffle entry slips are your chance to engage with attendees. Do not just give out raffle slips without engaging the person.
• If the raffle winner is not present: you keep the prize and use the entry slip to contact the winner. If they do not respond, you are free to use the prize on another Fremont Street Eats date. Raffle prize tip: always attach your business card to your prize, even if it's a gift card or a basket.
• This is a fun family-oriented event. To capture their attention, you MUST do something to engage them. Passing out brochures will not give you the results you’re hoping for.
• Do not bring chalk, glitter, confetti, sprinkles, stickers, balloons, or bubbles.
• You MUST have a reservation to be a part of the Member Market. You may not just show up without pre-booking and obtaining approval for your space.
• There is no smoking in the Downtown Event Center Plaza.
• If needed, you may use a 'whisper quiet' generator; not to exceed 1200 watts. Electric portable power stations, e.g. Jackery are also acceptable.
• Food sellers: You must bring a proper “screened-in” food booth to serve your product from, heavily weighted down with attached weights. You must also have a hand washing station, per the Alameda County Health Permit.
• Selling beverages and/or food items must be pre-approved by the Chamber before you can book a date.
• There is no cost for your space, but we do ask that you keep your area clean during and after the event. You are to take your own trash back with you. The Chamber will not dispose your trash for you.
• NO-SHOWS: Spaces are limited for every event and a waiting list grows for each date during the second half of the season. Therefore we ask that you agree to let us know if you are not going to attend on your scheduled date. We assume that you will show up on the dates that you book.
• Three no-shows/no notifications: Your last date will be removed from the remaining schedule.
• WAITING LIST: For dates that are overbooked, we place you on a first come, first served basis. Occasionally a date will open up due to member's illness or staffing issues. We strive to notify members on the waiting list as soon as possible when there is an opening.
