Fremont Public Safety Fair features chamber partners and members
The Fremont Public Safety Fair successfully took place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, drawing local families and residents to the Fremont Police Department west parking lot at 2000–2100 Stevenson Blvd. Co-hosted by the Fremont Police Department and the Fremont Fire Department, the free event ran from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and focused on building community connections while promoting safety education.
The event featured a wide range of interactive activities, demonstrations, and essential safety resources, including many organizations that partner with the Fremont Chamber.
Emergency Vehicle & Equipment Displays
Attendees of all ages got a close-up look at emergency response gear. The event showcased fire engines, police vehicles, drones, and specialized equipment from the SWAT team and K-9 units. Children had the unique opportunity to explore the engines and collect limited-edition Fremont PD trading cards featuring the department's K-9s and specialized units.
E-Bike & Bike Rodeo
A major highlight of the fair was the E-Bike Safety Course and Bike Rodeo, designed for both children and adults. Sponsored in part by electric vehicle brand Hiboy, the course gave community members a real-world setting to practice their riding skills and learn essential handling safety guidelines from campus and community safety personnel.
Community Health, Safety, & Entertainment
• Educational Booths: Representatives from various city departments, local medical providers, and regional public safety agencies shared critical tips on disaster preparedness, fire prevention, and crime reduction.
• Health Services: Medical volunteers offered free blood pressure checks and health information.
• Q&A Information Sessions: Community members engaged directly with city officials—including Mayor Raj Salwan and the Police Chief—to ask questions regarding school safety, department investigations, and recruitment.
• Food & Fun: The fair kept an upbeat environment with food trucks, community giveaways, a crowd-favorite dunk tank, and an appearance by the DoorDash Dot.
The collaborative effort successfully provided an accessible, hands-on environment for Fremont residents to meet their local first responders and learn how to keep their neighborhoods safe.
