Community Center Groundbreaking

On Friday April 17, the City of Fremont broke ground for the new Central Park Community Center.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

The ceremony took place at 12:00 p.m. at the Central Park Teen Center (39700 Paseo Padre Parkway). The program featured brief remarks from City leaders, State Senator Dr. Aisha Wahab, State Assemblymember Alex Lee, Alameda County Supervisor Elisa Marquez, a representative from Congressman Ro Khanna and a ceremonial groundbreaking to mark the start of construction.

With over 21,000 square-feet, the Central Park Community Center will bring flexible space for fitness, arts, enrichment programs, and community gatherings, supporting residents of all ages. The project reflects community priorities identified in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and represents a continued investment in high-quality spaces for the Fremont community.
