The facility treats water delivered through the South Bay Aqueduct using advanced ozone disinfection, filtration, and purification processes to provide safe, high-quality drinking water. With the capacity to sustainably produce approximately 26 million gallons of treated water per day, the plant plays an essential role in ensuring a reliable water supply for residents and businesses throughout Fremont, Newark, and Union City.

Owned and operated by BLT Enterprises, the facility provides residential and commercial recycling, solid waste disposal, and household hazardous waste management services. Its advanced Material Recovery Facility processes recyclable materials, while its transfer operations consolidate waste for efficient transportation to landfills. Featuring a solar-powered recycling operation, the facility plays an important role in reducing landfill waste, promoting environmental sustainability, and supporting responsible waste management throughout the Tri-City community.
