DasBrew, Inc. is Fremont's own small craft brewery! Owners Jan Schutze, and his wife Priscilla, focus on
consistently brewing world-class German-style beers packed with flavor, an invaluable skill Jan learned from his Grandmother as he was growing up in Germany.
Das Brew hosts a lively tasting room with eight delicious, hand-crafted beers on tap that rotate among a catalog of over 20 session beers, IPAs, seasonal and specialty beers. In addition, growlers, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and kegs are for sale. Membership in the DasBeer Club offers beer lovers several benefits including special discounts, advance release notifications, invitations to exclusive club parties, newsletters and more.
Das Brew has a strong commitment to Fremont with a goal to always remain local and give back to the community. They are equally committed to providing a great place for local people to work while operating in an environmentally responsible manner.
Upon joining the Chamber seven years ago, Jan and Priscilla quickly became involved, attending and hosting mixers, and putting to work many Chamber benefits. Both are active and prolific networkers and as they put it “we generally like to schmooze with people.”
Jan and Priscilla were two of several people who were instrumental in the development of the Fremont Burger & Brew Fest, serving on the planning committee, giving important guidance, and putting Chamber staff in touch with the right resources to make it all happen. Jan and Priscilla can also be seen at the Fremont Festival of the Arts pouring their popular brews for festival crowds.
Das Brew beers have also become popular at Fremont Street Eats and can be found on the menu on a regular basis. According to Chamber staff, Secret Sidewalk sells out nearly every week with Mean Monkey right on its heels. Das Brew beers have become the preferred brews of Fremont!
